I have a company that uses both raw materials and pre-made components and quality control is a major factor that can make or break product lines. The biggest factor for an inspector is that they 100% have to know what they're looking at and how to check material quality/tolerances/imperfections and what the end buyer's minimum requirements are. The biggest factor for someone sourcing product is that they have to have(preferably preexisting) relationships with the source or are able to build relationships quickly and negotiate price/terms effectively. The internet is large and powerful so you have to be more capable and valuable than a few hours of searching.
Here's a couple examples of different companies that may want these services:

Online retailers that source products from different countries may need product sourcing services to find high-quality and cost-effective products, as well as product inspection services to ensure the quality of the products they are selling.

Businesses that import goods from overseas need to ensure that their products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements in their home country. Product inspection and quality control services can help them identify any defects or issues with the products before they are shipped.

Manufacturers that produce goods in large quantities need to ensure that their products meet the required quality standards before they are shipped to customers. Product inspection and quality control services can help them identify any defects or issues with the products during the manufacturing process.

Retailers(direct to consumer) that sell products sourced from different suppliers may need product inspection services to ensure that the products they receive meet their quality standards and specifications.

Wholesalers that source products from different manufacturers and suppliers may need product sourcing services to find high-quality and cost-effective products, as well as product inspection services to ensure the quality of the products they are selling.

Virtually any business that is involved in the sourcing, manufacturing, importing, or retailing of products that cannot afford to send a person directly to a facility can benefit from product sourcing and inspection/quality control services.

Overall what you're looking to do isn't easy but can be profitable, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to help out or even explain to you why I don't hire outside people for these sorts of services.
