I own a web and mobile application development business and want to define my audience in order to create an inbound marketing strategy around them. I need to know who I can help in order to help them.
There's 2 types of customers for this segment that have a decent budget.
1) Funded tech startups (i.e. Anyone that recently closed a round on www.angel.co)
2) Digital agencies (or their clients) who want to build a mobile app for marketing or convenience purposes.
So for #1, you can target anyone who likes sites like Angel List, Gust, etc. For #2, you can get a list of digital media agencies and run ads against them.
All that being said, the best way to pull them into your funnel is to create some AMAZING free content like an infographic, video or webinar that demonstrates why you guys are the best company out there.
So teach them something about mobile marketing that they had no clue about - then close them at the end.
Hope that helps.

I think many B2B customers are using apps for internal collaboration and cloud communication. From a B2C perspective, the same could be applied (sales communicating with marketing) but they are also seeking creative methods of channeling their brands into the social realm while masking that intent with a purpose built app related to their product.
The sky's the limit with this. A very untapped market.

I believe that mostly start-up companies that have been funded well during seed funding round do hire them at times government agencies do hire them as well in some countries. There may be other agencies that may be doing the hiring as well. Mobile apps can bring in new customers and boost your business growth in this competitive market. As the mobile app world is evolving rapidly the rules keep changing which means that it is quite tricky to make a successful app. The best way to go do this is to choose a good mobile app development company. When you begin the process of finding a mobile application development company for hire, you should first explore their portfolio of work. It is important that you vet out the company you are considering hiring. This process gives you a better understanding of the kind of work the company is capable of. A quality mobile app development company would be transparent in displaying all the kinds of reviews it is getting whether they are good or bad. Keep an ear out for the companies or app development firms that others may be talking about or are recommending. When you go scouting for mobile app development companies to hire, there would be multiple companies quoting wildly different prices for what might appear to be the same pricing. Depending on the audience and the kind of business you own, you might do well to go for iOS, Android, or Windows. Evaluate whether the mobile app development company you are planning to hire, pays any attention to the user experience and the aesthetics of the app they are building for you.
