What is the best strategy to improve the analytics for my subscriber CMS platform for my startup?

I have designed and developed a user and subscriber based messenger application that i am launching in the next 2 months. I have added analytics for subscribers to extract basic information to analyse. The reason for not developing a sophisticated analytics function is that the subscriber base is so large and diverse that i want to develop a one for all fit. My intention is to add general improvements to the analytics as subscribers requests are made. Is this a good strategy. My worry is if the analytics are so basic, it might not attract subscribers to subscribe. I am looking for advice from anyone who is experienced in this field.

I think it makes total sense. If you provide some standard dashboards with number of messages over time and similar, you can get everybody started. And it will give you a platform to interact with the subscribers. In my view, that is the cheapest and most low-risk way of developing it - to work with your customers. No way to know now, whether high level of sophistication is needed.

Consider doing your interaction as a blog, a support community or something similar to formalise the interaction. That would push yourself forward as well, and put a face on your service.

If you are cloudbased, you can do frequent launches of small changes in the analytics, and talk about them in your community. Also, consider looking into the thoughts of Design Thinking, which would give you different tools for teasing out the thoughts in your community.

You might consider doing a free month or two or three.

The people who stay are happy.

The people who go, do an exit interview, asking what you can do to bring them back in the future.

You may find analytics is only important to you.

Tip: Never guess what customers think they need. You'll almost always be wrong. Just ask them. Then provide what they ask for... well... only if many ask for the same thing. If all your exit interviews provide some different answer, ignoring them might be best.

Big Tip: During free period, send some 1x-3x per week email course materials providing tips/tricks/traps for using your tech. In each of these email, just ask... "What features can make your life easier, that we can add to our platform."

Again. Never guess. Just ask.

Another reframe could be finding ways to make your basic analytics useful. If a subscriber sees a certain piece of data, what does that tell them they should do? Even the most basic data can be incredibly useful if paired with useful suggestions. I don't know much about your app, of course, but this is just a thought.

How do you know that your assumption is correct? (i.e.,The size and diversity of the subscriber base dictates the features)

In general, a great strategy is to pick some white space in your market, target a core customer and figure out what key attributes they value and then nail them over time.

What you are doing sounds more like guessing and you want validation from an ignorant group. We have no idea what the nuances of your business are, what your most profitable customers want and value, how well you execute, if you have the right team, etc. That is, we are more in the dark than you are as to if what you are suggesting is the optimal approach.

I understand you developed application where you need to add Reports/Analytics for your subscribers to access. You need below steps

1. Business Intelligence report embedding with Single Sign on(SSO) with your application.
2. BI tools may be Power BI/Tableau/Google Data studio.
3. You need a Analytics where multi user can login the same dashboard but with user security (Each user can only look at their own data)
