Questions

Which is more beneficial nowadays-- SEO or PPC

I have a web design company and my website does not have good SEO ranking. So is it wise to invest in PPC campaigns for some keywords?

8answers

For most sites both can have equal importance.

SEO tends to be slower.

PPC tends to be fast.

Most of my clients balance both.

So the "wisdom" of using PPC, is creating instant conversions.

It depends very much on the type of business, for web design I would look into other forms of advertising than PPC. Regardless, SEO is important. PPC can seem cheap at first but can actually end up being very expensive when you consider how many clicks you're going to pay for before you convert one of them to a web design client. I've been able to get much more targeted on social media platforms resulting in more relevant visitors who end up being cheaper to convert to business.

in my point of view both are good, let me tell you how?

First, if you have a good amount of money for online marketing and u want result in a short time period so PPC is really good choice for this. But the Cons, is only you can earn or getting traffic that time only, whenver you stopped your Ads, result will stop :)

I personally believe in SEO Bcoz its take a time but give you long time result. :)

So my suggestion is Go with SEO rather then PPC.

Hope this helps :)

I think of it less as an either-or scenario and more like:

- How much time, effort and/or money does it make sense to invest in each?

- What quality and size of prospective new client will each avenue bring?

PPC is going to be more of a fleeting 1-for-1 investment, i.e. its effects won't outlast the money you spend on it. SEO is the opposite -- it could have lasting rewards -- but it could also be fruitless, in that Google can take away your hard-earning ranking with a flick of the wrist. So nothing is for sure in terms of SEO; success isn't guaranteed.

In my experience, neither PPC nor organic search make for excellent lead sources for an online services business as commoditized as web design. You're better off with more guerrilla-marketing-style tactics.

Which polish would you choose for your shoes:
(a) brown
(b) black
(c) None

The answer to my question depends upon the color of your shoes. If your shoes are black then black polish is good, In case your shoes are brown, then brown polish is suitable. However, if your shoes are white then both options are not suitable.

Similarly, I need to analyze your website to suggest whether SEO is suitable or PPC. There is a possibility that both of the options may not be suitable. In my example of shoes, it is simple, however in case of website, you will need an expert to analyze.

Please setup a call with me. I will analyze and recommend you solutions in easy and simple manner.

It depends on the business, but generally, it should be both, not a choice.

People get all giddy about "inbound marketing" and think SEO is the holy grail. The problem is, that in competitive markets, everyone has that same brilliant idea. SEO agencies tend to promise more than they can deliver. The reality is it's impossible to guarantee a top ranking for a non-branded query. It also tends to take longer than people think to achieve the top spot.

And PPC, well, it can be expensive. Without free cash to invest, scaling PPC is tough, especially in a business with a mid-long sales cycle.

Now that I've shredded both, here's my view:

You need a strategy for both. When you build a SEO strategy, you should be thinking about NEXT year's sales and the long-term growth of your business. PPC and targeted social ads are the more effective way to scale near-term sales. In the ideal world, you can slowly move away from large paid investments as organic scales.

Both techniques have their own benefits. For example, if you are looking for instant traffic and have high budget then you opt for PPC. However, if your website is new and not optimize from search engines point of view, then you must need to invest in SEO.
