I would like to build a very niche expert platform for the Spain & Latin market and am trying to see what theme would allow for voice but also text questions to be asked, all pre-paid. Many thanks in advance.
I am building a NewCo with one of the developers that worked in an itailan Expert Platform called http://www.bemyguru.it.
Send me more detailed questions about what you need and I will try to help.

Well first, it's important to point out that this is not a Wordpress site. It's a web application or SaaS. Perhaps it was built with Ruby, Python, or it could be using other JS frameworks/languages. There are many reason why you would not use WP for a site like this, one of those reasons is: Scale. WP sites do not scale well. I would start there. I would research building a web app vs. Wordpress. You will find much insight in regards to scale. This is a great article to introduce you to WP scale and what issues you may run into: https://tommcfarlin.com/scaling-wordpress/

You are on the right track. It's not what theme, what plugin. That is the key.
You can use a free plugin like BuddyPress to give WordPress social media/profile-esque functionality. I would look into getting that plugin modified to do what you want. You may be able to get it close to what you want with enough tinkering without having to dish out some money for a developer.
You could most likely integrate a payment gateway with BuddyPress to achieve something functional.

There are a lot of themes that you can use for an expert booking platform. To do an automatic install of WooCommerce Marketplace, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu, and click Add New. In the search field type “WooCommerce Multivendor Marketplace” and click Search Plugins.
If you are interested to create the expert platform for booking using Wordpress, you can refer to my blog https://techwink.net/blog/create-a-multi-vendor-marketplace-using-wordpress/

This is an old question that needs a refresher for 2023.
You can build pretty much ANYTHING on WordPress and the theme is just the look of the website even though it MIGHT determine how some functionality is going to be developed.
It sounds like there is going to be some digging to find plugins that provide the functionality you are looking for OR they need to be custom-developed: either way WordPress offers what you seek.
In 2023 we have several theming platforms available for WordPress. LONG gone are the days of getting a theme and only sticking to what it offered! I have tried more than a few over the years and the BEST is Elementor: https://elementor.com/.
If you are reading this answer in 2023 and are interested in exploring what to do to get your new brand or company started, give me a call to help you see what options you have!
