Whether you're seeking B2B or B2C LEAD GEN, you can lease these lists to pump up your email mailing list. You can also harvest email leads through speaking engagements where you can expound on your area of expertise or product value.

Helping you plan/execute tech & sales strategies

One additional comment: for your website make sure and install a roadblock/pop-up to encourage folks to give you their email address when they first visit the website. Other optimization strategies for your website really depend on what type of site you have (ecommerce, general marketing etc.) For example, if ecommerce use tools to get people to give you their email address on the product details pages (i.e. a favorite or share via email to a friend option) since most ecommerce sites see over 40% of their traffic sources and come in on their product pages. For general marketing sites you can consider things like using email sign-up as a roadblock for downloading some sort of white paper etc.

I help Productize service businesses

There are endless strategies, tools, and tactics you can leverage here. I personally would start with any low hanging fruit possible. Not knowing your business or having any context makes it more difficult.

I personally love Optinmonster. You can create a series of popups that can be positioned around your website to optimize and encourage people to optin. Focus on the pages with the highest traffic first. I would avoid instant pop-ups as these are just annoying so use delayed popups to ensure the "prospect" is interested. As well exit intent pop-ups are great as well.

Next, I would focus on your copy throughout the website while leveraging A/B testing to see how you can improve your optin copy.

Once those are optimized then I would focus on two areas.
1. Retargeting Ads
2. JV partnerships
3. Guest Posting
4. Paid Media

More than happy to review this with you and share these ideas in greater depth if you're interested.

I worked in digital marketing agencies and this is a usual ask of clients.

There are a few questions that you need to ask prior to this.
1. Who is your target segment (s) and where do they play / live
2. What outcome do you want from engaging with persons from this list
3. If it is B2B, are there professional bodies you can partner with
4. How qualified does this list need to be / How do you intend to qualify the list

Let's talk more for me understand where you are coming for so that we can talk strategy that makes sense for you.

About 2 or 3 times a year I run a giveaway promotion on my travel blog. It is a great way to work with brands and to attract new people to your site. Then you can use an opt-in plugin or similar to convert new visitors into subscribers and add them to your email list. You do not say whether you are a B2C or B2B enterprise or what country you live in, this kind of marketing strategy is not appropriate in all cases, and there are always legal restrictions depending on where in the world your business is based. If this idea appeals to you and would make sense for your business, I would be happy to speak with you further.

Marketing, Email Deliverability & Inbox Placement

Ultimately, you need to focus on delivering value and communicating this value clearly. Here are some ideas:

- write and give away an eBook related to your brand or product for users that opt-in.
- raffle a brand-aligned price or giveaway.
- create and deliver regular, useful content and invite users to opt in to be notified of new articles (content strategy).
- create and promote regular webinars where you can share knowledge and tips, in exchange for email opt-in.

You will have to continue delivering value even after you capture emails, or your list attrition will be high and engagement will be low (resulting in low deliverability).

This is especially true if you have a retail store or a brick and mortar location where you interact with customers face-to-face. If you share your emails on social media, for example, many of your fans and followers will not be on your email list. “They share it on Facebook or pass it along to their friends, and then their friends ask to subscribe,” Brandon Stewart, a real estate agent in Dallas, Texas, on what he learned when he began using Constant Contact in 2009. Look at how Full Spectrum Power makes it easy for Facebook fans to join their email list by including a link right in their caption. Your website will be the first contact many people have with your business. “We’re always giving people the option to join our email list when they come into the spa, but we just recently added the option for people to sign up when they visit our website,” explains Christine Copertino, spa director for Allegria Spa. We are seeing a ton of people signing up, and we know that these are really engaged people who will be excited to receive our emails. Create one with Constant Contact or use a Lead Generation Landing Page.
Carrie Bonnet, marketing director at Rains Lucia Stern, PC explains how collecting email addresses from event registrants gives you the chance to communicate with attendees after your event. For her, this includes sending a follow-up survey to event attendees. For a business-like Mother Earth Pillows, these events give them the chance to connect with new customers and other partnering businesses. Constant Contact's Text-to-Join tool lets people join your list by sending a text message to a custom code that is unique to your business. If you want to give people the option to sign up by hand but do not have a convenient place for a paper sign-up sheet, consider using other print methods to get customers to join your list. Boston-area restaurant In a Pickle puts postcards on tables in their dining room and invites customers to “join the club.”
But it is also important to move relationships off social media and encourage fans and followers to join your mailing list. Treat Cupcake Bar uses the Join My Mailing List Facebook app to encourage their fans to stay in touch. Once those guests connect, Gazella’s integration adds contacts directly into your Constant Contact account. Facebook offers several advertising options you can use to reach a new social media audience. Using Facebook Ads, Liberty Jane Clothing added more than 2,000 contacts to their email list in a single month. The best way to get people interested in your email marketing is to offer something that they cannot find anywhere else. Think about all the different places customers interact with your business. I want to hear your story and learn the creative and innovative ways that you are marketing your business.
