Gmail

Is it possible to change display name of sender for email I receive (in Gmail) - so I can quickly identify who the sender is?

For example, I receive an email from helpsupport@widgets.com and in my general inbox the name shows as "Help" I would like to change it to display as "Widgets Help" so I can quickly notice that is who they are. Is this possible? I tried adding them as a contact but that didnt change anything.
