John Bermel is the founder and CEO of Aldus Local, a Local SEO automation platform built specifically for agencies, multi-location businesses, and Local SEO professionals who want to dominate the Google Map Pack. With over two decades of experience in media, retail marketing, and local business development, John brings a unique blend of enterprise insight and small-business execution to the field of local search.
John began his career with notable roles at Metromedia Television Group, then CBS Retail Development, JCPenney Retail Marketing, Allied Chemical, Univision, and Paramount Television. These early positions exposed him to the intersection of consumer behavior, media influence, and brand performance—insights that would later shape his approach to localized marketing strategy.
In 2001, John founded Secure Dental, a 2-100 dental insurance company. In 2004, Secure Dental was sold to AIG. John then focused on the expansion of the local development and the domination of Google in the local search ecosystem. He has worked with hundres of businesses and organizations wishing to expand their presence through local SEO, which led to his recent development of Aldus Local .
