How much capital do you need to raise? There are a number of factors that drive our Raise Amount beyond what we think we need.

The earlier we are in the evolution of our startup, the lower our Raise Amount will likely be.

The three most important factors in determining our raise amount tend to be:

• Stage. Pre-Seed, Seed, or Series A gives us a range.
• Milestones. How much do we need to reach our next milestone?
• Valuation. We’ll change our raise amount depending on valuation.

We’ll likely raise multiple rounds of financing over the lifetime of our startup, so we’ll also talk about how our Raise Amount will get us to a specific milestone, not necessarily be the “end all, be all” of our funding.
