I’ve spent over 20 years in finance, but the work I do today is a lot more grounded than titles or credentials.
I work with founders who are building real businesses and want to do it the right way. Not just chasing growth, but building something that actually holds up… financially, operationally, and personally.
Most of the founders I meet are in that in-between stage. Revenue is there. The vision is clear. Yet the numbers feel messy, decisions feel heavier than they should, and cash never seems to stretch as far as expected. That is usually where I step in.
Through my firm, ThreeStone Solutions, I act as a fractional CFO and strategic partner. I help founders understand what is actually happening in their business, where money is being lost or trapped, and how to turn that into disciplined, confident decisions. The goal is simple. More control, stronger margins, and a business that can grow without constantly feeling like it is on edge.
I have worked across public, private, venture-backed, and private equity-backed companies, and I have led finance teams at scale. I have also built from the ground up, which changes how you see everything.
What tends to resonate most with founders is that I do not approach finance as just numbers. I look at how the business is being run. Systems, pricing, operations, decision-making. There is usually a gap between what a founder says they want and what their financials are actually supporting. That gap is where most of the pressure lives. Fixing it is where things start to move.
For investors, I often become a bridge. Many of the companies I work with are strong, but not yet “investor ready” in the way the market expects. I help clean that up. Financials that hold up under pressure. Clear models. Real assumptions. A story that connects to the numbers. When that foundation is in place, conversations change.
I spend a lot of time in beverage, spirits, and CPG, along with select work in tech and non-profit. These are industries where cash flow, margins, and operational discipline matter more than most people realize, especially early on.
