Bio

Dr. Shawanda Lee-Phenix, Ed.D., MHRM, MBA, is the founder and principal HR & OD consultant of Novel HR Consulting, LLC. With over 20 years of experience in HRM/OD, which includes being a former Army HR Officer, she specializes in empowering small to mid-sized enterprises and select larger organizations to create robust HR infrastructures that enhance leadership, ensure compliance, and promote continuous growth.

Shawanda is passionate about fostering inclusive workplaces, particularly for neurodiverse individuals and those facing invisible illnesses. She is currently working on a research-driven approach informed her innovative solutions, including expanding HR Compliance & Policy services that help organizations establish dynamic systems to avoid costly oversights.

In addition, Shawanda is working on expanding a quarterly frontline leadership program for a wood manufacturing client, by equipping the leaders and their bosses with the essential tools for success. Shawanda is excited to partner with businesses ready to implement people-first systems that scale sustainably from the start.
