Elevator Pitch

PictureYou is a marketplace and operating system for photographers and videographers. The problem we're solving is two-sided, and it starts with the pro.

Photography and videography are solo small businesses. You're the talent, the salesperson, the accountant and the marketer. To get work you have to advertise yourself, but you don't have an ad budget, and the established names are taking the shoots. And you can't build the portfolio that would prove you're just as good, because you can't get booked in the first place. It's a closed loop.

The platforms that exist don't break it. They list profiles and rank them, and if you aren't on the first page your odds of a client ever scrolling past you are dismal. Discovery goes to whoever already had it. Being good isn't enough; being found is the whole game, and the platforms sell that to the people who need it least.

On the client side the same structure fails in the other direction. Booking a photographer is a high-stakes, high-anxiety, low-information purchase , your wedding, your newborn, your brand launch. You're spending real money on something that doesn't exist yet, with someone you've never met, and you usually can't even say what you want. You have a feeling and a screenshot. So the client scrolls two hundred profiles, or submits to Thumbtack and gets spammed by ten pros.

We solve both with the same thing. A client texts us, no app, no signup, just iMessage, describes what they want or sends an inspiration photo. Our AI reads it and matches against style, pricing, availability and preferences to find the right pro, and comes back with one photographer and the reason why. Not a results page. One confident match, explained.

And because we control the match instead of ranking a page, we control the distribution. We deliberately spread bookings across the whole roster rather than letting a top-ten flywheel take everything. Where we're going with that is a universal basic income for creative professionals, a reliable floor of work for people whose income today is entirely feast-or-famine.

We could only build that because of the other half of what we do: over four years we built the full operating system a working photographer runs on — AI-generated portfolio, booking, availability, contracts, invoicing, deposits, galleries, reviews, earnings. That's what gives the AI live data to match on. A directory only has photos and a bio.
