Edward Neequaye is a Ghanaian-American actor, producer, improviser, and model whose passion for storytelling began at an early age, entertaining family and friends with original characters and performances. That lifelong love of performing has evolved into a diverse career spanning television, film, theater, commercials, voice acting, improv, and print modeling.
A graduate of The Second City’s Improvisation Program in Chicago, Edward has performed professionally on The Second City stage numerous times as an improviser. He has also produced multiple improv comedy shows at The Second City, where he combines his passion for live performance with his talent for creating memorable characters, quick-witted comedy, and engaging audiences.
Edward has appeared in numerous productions, including Emperor of Ocean Park, Bride of The Killer Piñata, I Survived Bear Grylls and a variety of independent films, commercials, and stage productions. As a commercial model, he is currently featured in a nationwide retail campaign with Aspend Dental. He also currently has a regional campaign with ComEd displayed throughout Chicagoland in major stores including Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards, Target, and Walmart.
His work has earned critical recognition, including Best Lead Actor at the American Golden Picture International Film Festival (2023) and Best Lead Actor in a Short Film at the Indie Movies Spark Film Festival (2023). In addition to acting, Edward has produced multiple improv comedy shows at Chicago’s renowned Second City, combining his love of live performance with his talent for creating memorable characters and engaging audiences.
When he isn’t in front of the camera or on stage, Edward enjoys spending quality time with his family. He is also a dedicated mathematics educator who is passionate about helping students discover how math connects to the real world and empowers them in everyday life.
