Bio
Kevin Komlosy is the Founder and Managing Partner of AuthorityGate Inc., where he is building the validation layer that enterprise infrastructure has been missing. He brings 28 years of enterprise IT experience to the problem, including 14 years at VMware and Broadcom as a Senior Solutions Architect serving Fortune 100 clients such as Bank of America, Walmart, Boeing, and PepsiCo. That career, built on multimillion-dollar architecture engagements with the world's most demanding IT organizations, is the foundation for the category he is now defining.
AuthorityGate's core product is KeyStone, a kernel-level change validation protocol that intercepts and validates every production system change in real time. When a vendor update, a patch, or a machine-initiated change fails expected-outcome validation, KeyStone blocks it before it reaches production. Kevin calls this Validation Authority, a new category that sits ahead of recovery rather than competing with it. The CrowdStrike outage of July 2024, which grounded airlines and froze hospitals worldwide, is the clearest proof of the gap KeyStone closes. Recovery vendors restore you after the failure. KeyStone prevents the failure from executing in the first place.
The urgency behind this work is the rise of agentic AI. As autonomous systems begin making changes at machine speed, the human-paced governance models that enterprises rely on break down. Kevin's thesis is direct. You cannot govern machine-speed change with human-speed review. KeyStone provides the enforcement layer that lets organizations augment human judgment with automated, policy-driven validation, closing the governance paradox that agentic AI creates.
Kevin has translated that thesis into defensible intellectual property and shipped technology. AuthorityGate holds a growing patent portfolio with multiple provisional applications and awarded patents covering protocol-aware API interception, OS-level change interception, behavioral drift detection, and machine-initiated change validation. The company holds a reserved IANA TCP port and runs its first enterprise customer, Azuria Water Solutions, in production today. Alongside KeyStone, Kevin develops VitalWhy, an AI-driven health analytics platform that correlates biometric data from wearables with lifestyle events, reflecting a consistent focus on turning raw signal into governed, trustworthy insight.
The throughline across all of it is the same conviction. AI should be governed at the point of change, not apologized for after the outage. Kevin is building the authority that makes that possible.

Elevator Pitch
AuthorityGate is building the validation authority layer for enterprise infrastructure. Our core product, KeyStone, is a kernel-level change validation protocol that intercepts and validates every production system change in real time, blocking vendor updates and configuration changes that fail expected-outcome validation before they execute.
Today enterprises have no pre-execution checkpoint between their change management systems and live infrastructure. That gap causes preventable outages. The CrowdStrike outage of July 2024 is the clearest example: a single unvalidated update took down systems worldwide. Recovery tools restore after the damage. KeyStone prevents the change from landing in the first place.
We are defining a new category, Validation Authority, that is complementary to recovery vendors like ServiceNOW, Microsoft, Omnissa, IBM, CrowdStrike, Cohesity, Veeam, and Commvault rather than competitive with them. We hold a growing patent portfolio with multiple provisional filings and two awarded patents, control IANA TCP port 7668, and have Azuria Water Solutions live as our first enterprise customer in production.
