President and Chief Executive Officer of Transdermal Specialties, has 20+ years of experience in controlled release product development and commercialization. Mr. Redding is the holder of ten issued and fifteen pending patents in the controlled release field. In 1988, he co- founded Encapsulation Systems Inc., where he developed extensive experience in technology transfer. Key accomplishments include license or R&D agreements with such firms as DuPont, Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, McNeil Labs, Church & Dwight, Ottens Flavors, GNC, Nabisco, and General Mills. After licensing technology to DuPont in 1991, he joined M-Cap Technologies Intl. (a DuPont/ConAgra joint venture) as Co-President, where he designed and built two production plants and three laboratories, producing products which had nearly $25 MM in contract sales before his departure in 1994. In 1993, Mr. Redding licensed ConAgra and was instrumental in the partnership between ConAgra and DuPont. In that relationship, Mr. Redding gained extensive knowledge of food ingredients and helped launch the Bromate Replacer project for DuPont, a product that helps eliminate the use of a known carcinogen in bread and other baked goods. Annual Sales of that product reached $ 43 MM. In 1995, Mr. Redding became President of Delta Food Group after licensing technology in the field of improved nutritional tablets and flavor encapsulation. This led to transactions with Ottens Flavors, GNC, and Elan Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Redding received his B.S. degree in Engineering Technology from Temple University and has written several articles on microencapsulation in trade publications and scientific journals. Since 2009, Mr. Redding has led a highly innovative team to develop a non-invasive drug delivery technology, with the concentration being to develop an Insulin Patch. That technology is now in human clinical trials.

Elevator Pitch
Transdermal Specialties Global. (TSG) is committed to developing innovative drug delivery systems that enhance health and improve the quality of life. TSG, a pioneer in ultrasonic active patch delivery systems has developed a painless patented transdermal insulin delivery patch system that uses special ultrasound frequencies to expand the pores of the skin and deliver insulin into the bloodstream – No Needles.
Insulin is too large to be absorbed by the skin normally. The use of ultrasound dilates the skin pores and pushes the drug into the tissue. This system generates ultrasonic transmissions of variable intensity and frequency on a programmed schedule that dilates the skin pores to allow easy acceptance of drugs into the bloodstream. The variations in penetration are achieved by adjusting the timing of alternating waveforms.
