The idea for the PackRat Organizer (PRO) came from Clyde’s own experience with groceries, supplies, and miscellaneous items becoming disorganized in his vehicle. He tried using a milk crate and elastic straps to secure items in the trunk, but the crate still tipped over and scattered its contents. Determined to solve this everyday problem, Clyde began developing a stronger and more dependable trunk-organizing system. He initially took his idea to Invention Resources International (IRI), a company that is no longer in business. Although the experience did not provide the guidance and support he had hoped for, Clyde refused to give up. He continued pursuing his vision, transforming a frustrating everyday problem into today’s version 2 of the PackRat Organizer—a practical product designed to help people store, organize, and transport their belongings more securely.
