Mylee "Star" Hawk is an educator, artist, master chef, author, and community builder whose work brings together creativity, nature, food, and lifelong learning to inspire healthier individuals and stronger communities. With more than 35 years of experience in hospitality, culinary arts, theater, education, and community engagement, she has dedicated her career to creating spaces where people can learn, create, connect, and thrive.

Star's creative journey began in the performing arts, including more than a decade at Yakima's historic Capitol Theatre as Master Props, where she helped bring productions to life through storytelling, design, and collaboration. She also witnessed the development of the Gorge Amphitheatre, experiences that continue to influence her vision of creating immersive environments where education, art, and nature come together.

As a master chef and event specialist, Star has designed memorable culinary experiences rooted in hospitality, sustainability, and farm-to-table living. She believes food is one of humanity's greatest teachers—bringing people together while celebrating culture, creativity, and community.

Her work in education expanded through programs serving youth, families, and underserved communities, combining expressive arts, nature-based learning, and hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, resilience, and belonging.

Star earned her Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College and a Master of Arts in Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She is a doctoral candidate in Transpersonal Psychology at Sofia University, where her research explores the relationship between environment, creativity, community, and human flourishing.

She is the founder of Mama Star's Healing Circle and Dragon Heart Healing Farms and the co-founder of Unity Grove Cooperative. Together, these initiatives reflect her vision of creating welcoming places where education, creativity, sustainability, and community come together to inspire lifelong learning and meaningful connection.

Star believes that when people are given opportunities to learn, create, and belong, they discover not only their potential but also the power to strengthen the communities around them.
