Get More Free Traffic through Data-Driven SEO

Bio

Are you looking for B.S.-free SEO and content marketing consulting? You're in the right place. Hi, I'm Angelo. I started my first online business at 13 years old, without any considerable marketing budget or connections, I later sold it after having signed partnerships and contracts with companies such as Microsoft, DigitalBros, and 888 Poker. I achieved these results thanks to SEO. I currently run https://linkdelta.com. I also enjoy helping fellow entrepreneurs and marketers like you to grow online businesses using the same SEO and content marketing strategies that allowed me to sell two companies in the past years... So that you don't waste time with "experts" who never did it for their-selves

Lead Generation

What are the best lead generation channels for a small digital marketing company mainly focused on design?

Linkedin it’s currently my primary source of clients for my independent consulting business. I’ll tell you exactly the steps I use to generate 5 to 10 leads per week only with Linkedin Lead Generation. HOW YOU CAN GENERATE 5 TO 10 EXTRA LEADS PER WEEK USING LINKEDIN It is NOW the moment to leverage Linkedin’s full potential. In the future, this social network will start to get overcrowded (see Instagram and other ones that in the past were money-printers for the first ones who fully understood them.) How to leverage Linkedin to generate leads? Use your personal account to post relevant content. Don’t put external links (if you really have to, write them in the first comment and tell people to look at it) as the post which includes them are penalized by the Linkedin algorithm that tends to make people remain in their platform. Use Quuu.co. If you want contents related to your niche posted every day on your account, but don’t expect an engagement from those. The best posts come from your stories, what you’d learned, and they give the hell out of value to your audience. Select your target audience. Just hit the search button and look for the location, title/position, etc. where your leads are. Optimize your profile. Treat it like a sales letter, but more related to your person. Firstly, write something eye-catching on your headline, for instance, “Contact me if you want to generate more leads for your B2B Business.” Then the first paragraph should be customer oriented (explaining the benefits of working with you/your company.) After you can tell more about yourself, and of your story if you’d like to. Here you can check my profile to have some inspiration. Start with the automation. Download “Linkedhelper” (better) or “GPZWeb” (still good) to automate the following actions: Profile Views. People will visit-back and see your “optimized profile” (see point 3.) And many times they’ll contact you. Connect with 1,000 People, including a 1 line message (less-salesy messages get a higher-acceptance rate.) Send a Direct message with an intro summary & calendly/ web/email link to everyone who accepts (better if you wait one day after they accepted your connection request.) ** MAJOR KEY ALERT** A high-quality copy of the message is KEY to succeeding. Try to stand out in humor or creative ways (thanks, Jon Buchan). I get five messages per day from people pitching me SEO services which go straight to the trash bin, while my messages, not to brag, get a very high response rate Reply to your messages, and watch the leads roll in! I repeat! Linkedin (and his automation) will soon get less effective as more and more people are starting to do it. So, do it now (the same applies to Facebook groups, see the third paragraph) and you’ll be ahead of 99,9%. Another thing, stick with the limits, check here for more For any other info on how to do Linkedin Lead Generation properly, just subscribe to my website at http://angelosorbello.com

Content Strategy

I get the importance of content marketing, but where do you start when you're building a new company to get the ball rolling with limited time/money?

Content is not only one of the primary strategy used by top businesses to generate millions of page views - automatically. It’s also great for SEO. To build a killer brand that people trust and recall. To remain top-of-the-mind for your category of products. To help you build a personal brand and a closer relationship with your customers. In a few words, “content is king” as Bill Gates said. But, Angelo, “how can I write contents that sell, even if you're not a natural writer?” 1- Don't worry too much! You don't have to win the Nobel prize this year :-D Focus on consistency first. Write at least one post per week. You can focus on add quality once you got your writing habit. My first company was a group of online magazines that I then sold in 2013. I built it with 0 dollars spent on ads, only badass contents that people wanted to read and smart marketing to distribute them. 2- Know your audience. What do people interested in buying your search for on Google? What are their major problems? You can get all these insights in different ways: 1- Using answerthepublic(.)com 2- Check the subreddits that you know your customers subscribe. Click on “Top,” and you will get a full list of posts that already performed well. You can either improve them by adding something missing or take inspiration. 3- On Quora check for answers with many followers in your niche/audience. 4- Go to Amazon or other big e-commerce that sells your product. Check for the review from 2 to 4 stars. You will quickly start to notice some patterns, where people are complaining about the same things over and over again. Or maybe something is missing or is not how they expected. These insights are not only useful for creating contents around your products and category but also to understand better your customers and their struggles. It's gonna turn back valuable to write any copy (for your emails, your homepage, ads, etc.) When you write, do it like you're writing that piece of article to your ideal customer. Give him a name. What does he think about during her day? Who he'd like to be considered? (Cute, successful, etc.) Maybe they're only assumptions for now, in the future, especially if you built an email list, it's going to come much easier to get into the mind of your customers and using the exact words they use :-) BONUS: When you will have 5-7 contents ready, you should implement an email sequence for who just subscribe to your email list. How? A simple but effective way to do this is: Use MailChimp or similar software. Create an automated sequence. Send a welcome email and your best-performing blog posts in the first five days. On the 6th day send another content but in the P.S. give a limited time coupon or add scarcity in some way for one your most requested product. On the last email restate that the coupon is about to expire :-) You're increasing sales automagically in this way. BOOM by Cindy Joseph, Headspace, Pandora, and many other companies send this kind of sequences. - Angelo (http://angelosorbello.com) P.S. Don’t forget that distribution/promotion is as important, if not more, than writing the damn thing :-)

How can I stand out as an expert in email marketing even if I'm not well-known?

The Secret Way to Stand Out From the Crowd. One way to stand out in a world where everybody is doing content marketing is to create better content than everyone else. The Skyscraper technique being an example of that. You see what everyone else is doing. Then you raise the bar. Another way is to write articles with specific data or research that other people don't have. It's harder to stand out, but you can do it Some outstanding examples of remarkable content over shallow ones (i.e., 7 Tips on How to Be More Successful, or similar lists posts) are the ones from Ramit Sethi, Ryan Holiday and James Altucher. -- Need clarity? How to Gain Clarity in a Confusing World 😬 With so many marketing tactics or growth hacks to choose from, how do you prioritize which to invest time and money into? How can you STOP being confused by all the marketing tactics that constantly pops-up? 🤔 Marketers push you daily to try their new tactics, whether it is Snapchat, Instagram, Podcasting or similar. How to decide whether to test something new or not? 🤔 The question that I ask myself in these cases is, even if this thing fails, would it build a long-lasting asset anyway? When Tim Ferriss started his podcast he had no idea whether it would have been a success or not. He then realized that even if this project would have failed, he would anyhow improve his speaking skills and connect with amazing people. A similar story it's from Dan Johnston, a well-known Location Independence Coach. He started doing videos on Youtube years ago, Views were not that many initially, but over time he began to gain an initial following on Youtube What he noticed is that also the views in his past content increased over time while he gained notoriety. Are you building long-lasting assets or chasing tactics due to FOMO? 😱 - Angelo -- Need clarity? Sales

What are some good sales strategies to try?

Some years ago I had one my first sales call. It was with the CEO of a notorious company I was a bit nervous, so I told him: “Look, I know you’re an experienced seller, You'll probably spot every advanced sales technique if I use them So… I’ll just be authentic.” He replied: “Angelo, the best sales technique ever is having a great product.” And his words stick with me since then. When Mark McCormack started IMG, the first athlete he signed was Arnold Palmer. At that time Palmer, now considered one of the greatest golfers ever, had only won one championship. What McCormack saw in Palmer, Gary Player, and Jack Nicklaus, and the other well-known athletes that he then signed when they were still unknown, was more than mere trophies. These athletes had a strive for excellence and other positive qualities that directly would have made them outstanding in the long run. A couple of days ago, I was listening to a podcast with Steven Sashen, CEO of Xero Shoes. I could tell from his words and description that what he built is something outstanding. It made me want to buy it immediately. Sumo, it’s another example of an excellent product out there. I tried all kinds of similar plugins, but Sumo is the only one that never gave me problems! — Need clarity? If I were you, I would launch a Facebook Group. It's the easiest way right now to create a community around your business of people interested in your offering and which contribute to each other. Why a Facebook Group? Think about where is the primary place where people spend their time without getting paid. Yep, you guessed it right. It's Facebook. B2B Marketers/Founders/CEOs… Your audience is on Facebook. Trust me, or better, trust people that are seriously smashing it on this niche thanks to Facebook Groups. I’ve started my Facebook Group recently after Vin Clancy and Charlie Price from the famous “Traffic and Copy” group suggested me various time to do it. In the word of Vin Clancy: “It’s the perfect place to build your 1000 true fans.” Other reasons why to start one are: - You have a community! To test our your ideas, and to gain a sustainable momentum (people from your group will invite more in the future, and so on.) - There are way too many blogs out there, and people are sick and tired of optin popups, they tend to give their emails much less (only when the content it’s remarkable, but with so many competition it’s hard to stand out.) - It’s the only public area of Facebook. For the rest, FB is pushing down all the organic reach to push you to buy FB Ads (in groups it’s still not possible.) A Quick Note on Personal Branding Ultimately creating remarkable contents on your Facebook Group (Linkedin and other platforms and blogs as well of course) with consistency will contribute to building your brand and differentiate from the competitors. You’ll create a little space progressively in the brain of your customers with a kind of “positive karma” which they will want to reciprocate in the future (we’re human beings, read Robert Cialdini’s book for more about that.)
