Here's the process I would go with if I could do it over again...

  1. Find a template you like in canvas.com and add your content yourself into an initial deck that you'll give to designers to improve. Use this to work with startups.com on the first 3 slides.
  2. Work with startups.com to get your problem, solution, and market slide in great shape first before getting a designer to design the deck. This is 80% of the work. Then build out the remaining 7-9 slides.
  3. Next search for multiple designers on the internet to create the same three slides into a deck and pay $30 or so for each, might be $90 to $150 to find the best designer. There are several sites that allow you to search for designers.
  4. Finally build the content for the remaining slides and use the same designer. Will be $50-$150 for the deck.

If you skip step 2, you'll have to redo your deck many, many times greatly increasing your costs. Total cost around $200.

Good luck!!
