Matt Wilson is a dynamic leader at the intersection of technology, operations, and innovation. He has over 15 years of experience in corporate tech strategy and a decade of hands on experience with connected devices through his own hobby.

Matt's journey began with a passion for technology and problem-solving, culminating in his first major project: a fully connected smart home. Starting in 2013, Matt began tinkering with off the shelf connected devices and home apps to create a multi-wireless protocol, brand agnostic network of lights, plugs, doorbells, thermostats, and cameras. This pioneering project remains a testament to his technical skill and innovative mindset and laid the foundation for his future ventures.

While Matt continued to work in the corporate tech strategy environment, he began to experiment more with different types of connected devices. As he explored, he noticed that the devices were relatively easy to build. Through multiple soldering burns and a final "prototype" LOL, for testing, Matt deployed his first connected device with real time data. Through this experience, he set to prove the use case of this connected device.

Matt combined his expertise in corporate technology strategy and his experience with connected devices and turned to industries like landscaping, construction, and hardscaping for market integration. Matt found with connected devices, businesses can monitor equipment better, predict issues before they arise and collect critical data to make suggestions for service. By leveraging hardware and software platforms along with machine learning and predictive analytics, EquipSense is positioned to transform the way outdoor equipment is designed, built, used, maintained and managed.

An entrepreneur at heart, Matt balances technical acumen with strategic business skills. He holds a Master’s degree in Healthcare Informatics and certifications including SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Prosci Change Manager, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. These qualifications underpin his approach to problem-solving and his commitment to delivering results.
