Mitchell "Mitch" Johnson is a seasoned maritime executive, entrepreneur, and commercialization strategist with more than two decades of experience leading operations, business development, and technology adoption across the offshore energy, maritime, defense, and advanced materials industries.

Currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer of SeaG3 Maritime, Mitch is responsible for driving market adoption of advanced graphene-enhanced technologies throughout the maritime, offshore energy, and defense sectors. His focus includes strategic partnerships, commercialization initiatives, pilot programs, and go-to-market execution that transform emerging technologies into scalable business opportunities.

Mitch is also the Founder and Owner of Base Line Solutions LLC, a New York-based consulting firm that helps offshore energy companies and technology providers successfully enter and expand within the U.S. market. Through Base Line Solutions, he has advised global organizations on market strategy, operational execution, robotics integration, and supply chain development, while supporting some of the most significant offshore wind and subsea projects in North America.

Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mitch served as Director – Americas for Beam, where he launched and grew the company's U.S. operations from the ground up. He held full P&L responsibility, established regional infrastructure, built high-performing teams, secured multimillion-dollar contracts, and oversaw complex offshore operations supporting the rapidly growing offshore wind industry.

Before Beam, Mitch spent nearly six years with Oceaneering as Program Manager, where he developed and expanded diverless robotic inspection programs worldwide. He managed regulatory inspections, asset integrity programs, and subsea robotics operations for floating production systems, drillships, semisubmersibles, and commercial vessels across multiple continents. During this time, he built profitable business units, led global business development efforts, and became recognized as a subject matter expert in offshore inspection technologies and subsea asset management.

Earlier in his career, Mitch served as a Project Lead and Offshore Marine Surveyor with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), conducting vessel inspections, audits, new construction oversight, and regulatory compliance activities across North America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. His work spanned commercial shipping, offshore oil and gas assets, LNG vessels, and military support vessels.

Mitch's maritime foundation began as a licensed Merchant Marine Officer sailing aboard commercial vessels and tankers. He also served for ten years as a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve, supporting the readiness and operations of the U.S. Navy's Ready Reserve Fleet.

A graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation, Mitch combines technical expertise with a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about building companies, launching new technologies, and creating high-performing teams that deliver measurable results.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mitch is a dedicated father of six children and an enthusiastic supporter of startups and emerging technologies. He enjoys mentoring founders, building strategic partnerships, and helping innovative companies bridge the gap between breakthrough ideas and commercial success. When he's not working on the next business venture, Mitch can often be found on the golf course, where he enjoys the competition, camaraderie, and strategic thinking that mirrors his approach to business.
