Bio
Carol Westby brings over 30 years of executive experience in integrative medicine, addiction treatment, and natural product development. As COO and Co-Founder of Empowered Path Program LLC, she leads research in the neurobiology of addiction and the development of the first physiologically based alcohol reduction program in the United States.
Previously, Carol served as Executive Vice President of Avantcare, Inc., overseeing a $1.1M annual marketing budget, FDA and USP compliance, international trademarks, and laboratory operations. She was also CEO of 6th Millennium Corporation, which operated three state-licensed integrative medicine clinics, and founder of Extreme Phyto-Dynamics, LLC, where she developed and marketed eight proprietary dietary supplements before its sale in 2016.
A lifelong advocate for wellness and recovery, Carol directed a U.S. health-focused nonprofit for over two decades, created programs for children of alcoholic families, and is certified in Equine Assisted Therapy in both the U.S. and Great Britain. She also co-founded the Caelum et Terra Foundation (Republic of Malta), expanding her philanthropic mission internationally.
Carol is a co-author of two upcoming books — False Cures, Real Consequences: The Truth About Alcohol Treatment and The Manual for the Empowered Path Program.
