Peter’s passion for coffee began as a pre-teen when his grandfather taught him the art of roasting beans using an old-fashioned roaster, instilling in him a deep appreciation for every step in the process. An entrepreneur at heart, Peter founded his first company—an advertising agency and congress organizer—serving clients such as Douwe Egberts (now part of KDP), Pfizer, and Roche. After selling his business and relocating to North America, he worked with leading advertising firms, including Publicis, while also launching a new company and two industry-leading publications. Inspired by his family’s coffee heritage and encouraged by his cousin, who founded a coffee company in Jakarta, Peter set out to honor his roots. In 2023, he officially launched Java Original Coffee, bringing generations of expertise and tradition to the U.S. specialty coffee market.

Java Original Coffee Company, LLC is a specialty coffee leader with over 180 years of heritage and legacy. We source, roast, and deliver premium coffees through our Java Original Coffee and Roastmasterz brands, as well as our B2B platform, Weekends & Coffee. Revenue streams include direct-to-consumer online retail, subscriptions, wholesale supply to coffee shops, office coffee & supply programs, and hospitality services. We're expanding into a state-of-the-art facility in Arizona to accelerate B2B growth and consolidate production in our own facility rather than relying on 3rd-party roasters in New York, Chicago, and California. We’re scaling for the next stage of national impact.
