Throughout her career, she has built and led diverse, cross-functional teams to develop AI and analytics products that drive real business impact across retail, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, insurance and finance.

In her role as Senior Director of Data Science at Lowe’s, Payel guided a team of 60+ data scientists, engineers, and product managers to achieve over $800 million in revenue growth and productivity gains by leveraging AI and analytics. Her end-to-end experience in digital product development spans creating strategic AI capabilities roadmaps, architecting machine learning and computer vision solutions, and integrating generative AI capabilities, all while prioritizing data governance and scalability. An advocate for responsible AI, Payel also serves on industry advisory boards in academia and as a mentor, where she helps guide the future of data science and AI education.
