Questions

I'm looking to hire a business coach, but I have some questions... Background: I'm looking for direction and guidance as I'm working to grow my consultancy (design/development) beyond just me (+ sub-contractors). I want to grow a team, and grow the business. 1. What can I expect from working a coach? *What was your experience working with a coach?* 2. Where would I find a coach? 3. Things to look for / watch out for when evaluating a coach? 4. How much can I expect to pay? Based on my description above, can you recommend any names?

1. A really good coach will focus on your dreams and goals, and help you craft a solid, workable plan to reach your goals faster, easier, and with less effort than it would take to reach them working alone.

2. To find a coach, my first step would be to ask people you admire who they recommend, and also see who is endorsed by the biggest and most trusted names in the industry.

3. One of the things to look out for is someone who charges to have an initial conversation with you about your goals. At my company, we do not charge for an initial Strategy Session to determine if someone is a good fit for our Coaching and Mentorship Model.

Also make sure you're working with someone who has achieved the goals like financial freedom, healthy lifestyle, happy relationships, etc. that most people desire.

4. Fees can vary from several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on the coach's level of expertise.
